Moncton to Saulnierville - March 27

When André said that Wendy had logged 375 km on her sneakers since they arrived in Sicily at the beginning of March, l decided to check how much mileage we had done since mid February.  As of yesterday, I had clocked in 565 km on the Fitbit since we arrived. It's no wonder that my sneaker is coming apart. That's like walking from Moncton to Saulnierville and starting my way back to Moncton I've passed Digby now on my way back.

This morning laundry again, the machines here don't hold a lot of clothes at a time, a bit of vacuuming and then the market for more Serrano ham and cheese. It could be our last time buying ham because by this time next week we will be busy packing for the return trip home.

We did an earth cache today that involved 2 churches. One that we had the event at last night, the Santa Maria Basilica and San Nicholas church. They were closed but we have already gone in the san Nicholas church on one of the Sundays at the beginning of our stay.

A pan handler with goals.

We have noticed that many pan handlers have smartphones etc. so you wonder if they are really down on hard times or just too lazy to do real work.

Since our arrival in Spain, we have observed two things.

1 - Most sidewalks are very narrow but people standing or walking make little or no effort to get out of the way. You often have to walk around them. Today, we saw two Spaniards bump into each other. I don't know what they said to each other but it was certainly not "Have a nice day".

2 - We found that there was a very low percentage of people that could speak any level of English, yet 99% of the printed T-shirts that people wear are in English.
