February 24, 2020 - Athens, Greece

It was a long 2 days to get here. We started by leaving the house at 9 a.m. for our flight to Montreal at 10h45. As we had a 6 hour wait time, we had purchased passes for the maple leaf lounge with Aeroplan points.

We had some awesome chicken pizza along with a quinoa salad and the obligatory glass of wine for me and Guinness for Jacques. It was still a long day spent taking short walks and playing games on the computers. But what a treat it was to find out that the 3rd person in our row of seats was absent. This gave Jacques some much appreciated leg room and me a chance to fidget in my seat without disturbing anyone.

It is a small world that we live in. The stewardess for our flight from Moncton to Montreal was from Clare and while waiting for our flight to Frankfurt the lady across from me recognized my accent because she knew Corrine and Louis Gaudet. She was also on our flight to Athens. It turns out that the man sitting next to her was from Sainte Marie de Kent. He was on the way to Kuwait for business.

We arrived at our apartment around 3 pm. Not sure because my Fitbit and phone were not synchronised yet. We are pleased with the apartment. The owner spent an hour explaining how everything works but we were so tired that I don't think anything sunk in except that we cannot put any paper whatsoever in the toilet seat. That is going to be hard to remember lol.
