We slept in a bit this morning. We had breakfast that the owner had left in the fridge for us. A big bowl of thick Greek yogurt filled with fresh fruit (pineapple, kiwi, apples and orange).
The first thing that we wanted to get done was get our personalized metro/bus cards. For 15 euros each we now have unlimited travel on public transport for a month. This is going to be handy because we have already done 6 trips on the metro which would have cost 1.40 each. So, our cards are already half paid and it's still the 1st day😁.
We walked around, mostly in circles all day trying to orientate ourselves and managed to find our way back. We marked a few points on our GPS for further reference. Athens is a big city with lots of people. So far everyone has been very helpful and friendly. We were even given a free dessert to bring home when we stopped for take away meat pies for supper.
We are having problems with our emails. We cannot use our nbnet account and even my gmail account is not responding well. Jacques is working on it.
