Today was supposed to be a day of rest even if we are only Saturday. We spent the late morning and noon hour caching while strolling in the national park. It was a nice change of pace from the noisy bustle of the city. There were lots of quiet paths to take and places to sit under the trees.

Sorry André and Wendy but I had the wrong date for the free entry to the sites. It is tomorrow and again this Friday not the Sunday that you will be here. We will visit the acropolis tomorrow and maybe the other more expensive museums and sites on Friday.
On the way home we picked up a few essentials because the stores will be closed tomorrow and Monday it being a holiday for the Christian orthodox. They call it clean Monday. Their Easter is a week later than ours. If I understood correctly their fasting which includes no meat begins Tuesday or maybe it is on the Monday not sure which.
At the end of the day, we visited Zappeion. The fencing events took place here during the 1896 Summer Olympics

For a day that we were going to take it easy I still logged 13.5 km before we called it a day.
