Day 1 - October 10, 2025 - Morocco

Today was our long awaited start of our trip to Morocco with Exoticca.

We left Dieppe early just in case there was a change in flights. No change in flights so we did some geocaching on the way. Most of them were in the Truro area with a couple about 10 minutes from the airport. 

Since our flight was on time it was an unnecessary precaution. But better safe than sorry as the saying goes and we have 15 more caches to add to our collection. Our flight from Halifax to Montreal was on time but since we only had 55 minutes to make our connection we were a bit uneasy especially as we were disembarking we heard the final boarding call for our flight. With 46 gates and a whole bunch of duty free shops to go through we fast walked to our gate. It's been a while since we walked that fast. We arrived as the last few stragglers were being cleared. We didn't need to worry because apparently there were about 30 others on the same flight as us doing the same connection and the plane only left about half an hour after we were seated.

It turns out that there are about a dozen couples from the Maritimes. As well as 2 couples from Newfoundland and some from Ottawa. Most of the New Brunswickers are from Woodstock.  We have yet to meet any Americans on this tour. The other 2 tours had a mixture of Canadians and Americans. It should be an interesting tour.

The flight was a bit noisy as there were 2 toddlers in the row behind us who seemed to be having a contest on who could cry the loudest. I had to put on subtitles for the movie because I could still hear them through my headphones.

We have arrived.
