We are off on a nine-day trip to Ireland with Exoticca (the same company we travelled with to Portugal last fall).
We left for Halifax around 9:30. We did a few hours of
geocaching between Truro and the Halifax airport picking up about 15 before
heading to the hotel that we will be staying at on our return trip to leave our
car.
As always we were way too early but better to be early than late. Security was quick and then we had time to kill.
Both flights went smooth. There were plenty of empty seats on the Air Transat flight with almost all of the rows having an empty seat in the row. The food wasn't great but then airline food never is.
After customs we met our Dublin guide at the designated area and met the other 10 Canadians that were on the same flight as us that are in the tour. There is going to be 30 people in the tour so with 12 Canadians we are well represented. All the other Canadians are from Ontario but from various corners of the province. We are the only Maritimers.
