Holy Week is obviously much bigger than back home. Over the past three weeks, workers have been busy installing viewing stands and guardrails in preparation for the Holy week processions. During the week, the different churches hold processions that travel to the Cathedral and back. Included in the processing are floats (called Pasos) that weigh more than 2,000 pounds that are carried along the procession route. A group of men position themselves under the Paso to carry it. Being under the Paso, they cannot see whare they are going so there is someone beside the Paso to guide them.

Wonderful trip! Thank you for sharing, Natalie!
