Today we met Marc and Mary Sue in their plaza after breakfast and then headed to show them Plaza España. It was foggy all morning so it was not the best condition for pictures. It was too early for the flamenco dancers to be there yet, so after climbing up to the next level for the panoramic view and walking around a bit we ventured into the Maria Luisa Park where we walked about for an hour or so. A bit before noon we returned to the Plaza, and we were lucky as there were 4 flamenco dancers each taking their turns. We watched that for a while before heading to Triana.
On the way to Triana we saw the Torre del Oro but except for a couple of pictures did not stop. At the Triana market we had coffee and water, browsed a bit then went to look in a few ceramic stores before looking for a place for lunch. Triana is the birthplace of flamenco and where most of the ceramic were made as they used to have a ceramic factory.
After lunch we walked back to our apartment for a short rest then headed to Macarena to see the Basilica and the old city wall as well as the parliament building. After all that walking around, we all came back to our apartment where Marc and Mary Sue did a Duolingo Spanish lesson and I talked to Nathalie who was working from home today.
Jacques made us a shrimp risotto that we enjoyed before walking them back halfway to their square where we said good bye to finish our day.
The workers were busy trimming the hedges in the park.
