Since today is Sunday and there are many more people in the streets on Sunday, we opted to take the bus to a park close to the airport that had a few caches. We walked to our bus stop and waited with several people for a good 20 minutes or so. The bus wasn’t coming but being Sunday, the buses don’t run as often. At one point Jacques asked what does the sign say? For some reason or another the bus was not coming to our stop today, so we walked to the next stop. The bus arrived shortly after we did. We had to do a transfer to where we were going so it took us a bit of time. We stopped to add another month of internet for our phones at a small convenience store. It took a while for the person working to understand what we wanted. At 10 euros for the month even though we have less than 2 weeks left it is worth it. It is much cheaper than Bell who charges $16 a day. We cannot do texts outside of the country but have everything else as well as much more data than we get at home.
When we finally arrived at our destination we started our search for caches. It was not a successful day for caches, in all we found 2 out of about a dozen. The good side is we walked around a very nice park with picnic tables and lots of paths and benches here and there to sit. There were many wildflowers growing along the paths. We ate our lunch of sandwiches and nun cookies in the park before continuing our search for the elusive caches. By mid afternoon we headed out of the park and towards the bus stop. Here again we encountered a surprise. The bus stopped quite a distance from our regular stop and the driver told everyone this was the last stop. We walked the rest of the way home. So, all in all we walked over 16 km today. All this walking is starting to be easy peasy as Bianca would say.
