March 19 - Good choice

Today we are still recuperating from Sunday’s hike down to the bridge in Ronda. When we first started looking for an apartment in Seville there were 2 apartments that were high on our list. We decided to have a look at the other one. We took the bus to the other side of the river. Turns out that we chose well. The other apartment had nice furniture (in the pictures), but we weren’t sure about the location. The apartment that we didn’t take was in a nice neighborhood, but we would have been much further away from all the sites.

After looking at the apartment from outside we crossed the bridge and went for one last look at Plaza España before getting on the tram home. We stopped on the way home for shrimp and spinach for supper. After a break we decided to go to the museum des belles artes. Like a lot of things here, it is free for Europeans but not us Canadians. We spent a little more than an hour going from one room to the next looking at the art.

The temperature was 27 again today, but tomorrow it is supposed to go down to 21 so we will probably do our last hike of the trip. There is a trail near the airport that we have been planning on doing for a while so it’s tomorrow or never. This is probably the last post for this trip as we are already a few days behind, and we are leaving in 2 days. We have reached our goal of 500 km yesterday.

Don't know what is going on here but looks like some kind of festival being set up.

Many tents on each side of the entrance.

Our last visit in the Plaza España part of the city.

Various works of art in the museum.

Beautiful ceiling.

The picture does not do justice to this ceiling.
