March 1 - Resting day

Not much to report today.

We woke up tired and a bit stiff around the knees and legs today. Yesterday was long. This morning, we stayed in and relaxed. We decided to go to Costco to stock up on that good wine we had bought a couple of weeks ago.

When we had gone the first time, we saw a huge Carrefour on the way, so we stopped to see what they had. It is actually a mall but the carrefour itself is Costco size. Jacques went to see if they sold adapters, one of ours, the newest one stopped working. They did not so we will have to do with the one we have that still works. With 2 laptops, cell phones, a Fitbit and an e reader, something is always needing to be charged. While he was in the electronic dept., I went hunting for foie gras. We bought a can, but I don’t think it’s a good quality. I saw some at Cortes Ingles by comtess de Barri that would be better quality. Somehow, we didn’t communicate our rendez vous point well. We were both looking for each other in a different aisle. Eventually I called Jacques on our Europe phones, and we were able to connect.

We then hopped on the bus again to Costco where we filled our small bag with wine. We also bought a gouda and a box of passion fruit. That was all that we could carry in our backpacks. We have a 10-minute walk from our drop off point to the apt., so it was enough. Dropped our purchases at the apartment and did a couple of errands.

A much slower day than yesterday but we now have train tickets to Cordoba for Tuesday.

Many of the same big box stores as the ones back home. Also many McDonald's, Burger Kings and KFC's and Starbucks everywhere.
