March 6 - Ceramics Museum

The sun was shinning bright today so we did a few errands for supplies for supper and dropped them back at the apartment before heading out.

We had no destination in mind except towards Triana. Once we were on that side of the river, we visited a couple of ceramic stores and then bought tickets to the ceramic museum that was nearby. We spent about an hour or so in the museum doing a couple of the rooms twice. They are not strong on signage here. We saw a short film on stories by some of the workers who used to work there and then visited the different rooms. We found rooms 1,2,3, and 6 so we went back and looked for rooms 4 and 5 after going around again and not finding them we figured maybe they just don’t know how to count. The museum was interesting though.

We went into the Triana market, and each had a tapa to keep us going until supper. Then we went for ice cream. So far, we only had some once. It is pricier than it was in Florence and not quite as good but still a good treat.

We decided to follow the river and walked a good way before turning inland. Since we were not too far from mercado the Los Remedios we decided to walk there but it was closed by the time we made it. Since it was past 4, we headed back to the apartment. We could have taken a bus to bring us back at least part ways but we decided to walk instead taking a different route and stopping to people watch for a few minutes rest a couple of times. By the time we were back at the apartment we had walked more than 15 km. Tomorrow they are announcing rain so we will not go far.

Interesting shaped building on our way to the ceramics museum.

Ceramics of all kinds.

Lots of activity on the water.

Not certain we want to eat here. Service looks to be quite slow.
