It felt good not to have to wake up to an alarm this morning. At breakfast we heard that a few of the people from our group were not feeling well this morning. They figured that it must be from the meals that they ate at the restaurants in the plaza. Jacques and I were lucky. We had skipped lunch and just drank a smoothie with different fruits that we bought at one of the booths.
We did our airline check in and arrive can app before meeting a group from our tour that was planning on sharing taxis to the plaza. While waiting for them to arrive one of the workers at the hotel told Jacques that there was a local market about 5 minutes away that had the same things as the plaza but was government certified, so we changed plans and walked there instead.
Went for a pizza lunch down the street and shared the pizza. It was soso. We took the 4 seasons which came with 4 ingredients, one per quarter of the pizza. They all tasted the same even the turkey ham.
The highlight of our trip was the camel ride that we took this afternoon. For 31 Canadian dollars each we were picked up at our hotel by van and driven to the Palmier oasis where we were dressed up in their garb, given a 50 minutes camel ride with plenty of pictures taken with our phones, served the traditional mint tea and then driven back to our hotel. It was an awesome experience.
Early to bed tonight since we leave at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning for the airport in Cassablanca.
Great find doing the camel ride. Isn't it fun getting off and on lol. We loved the tea when you are served, I always want my tea poured from high up with bubbles. Thanks for the memories
