Today we took the Transavia to the end of line 3 to El
Campello. When we arrived down to the metro station where we were starting none
of the signs had our train listed and of course no one there spoke English or French.
We managed to understand that we were at the right place and that sometimes it
is just not listed. When the train arrived one of the locals came to check on
us to make sure that we knew it was the one we should take. We find that most
people even if they cannot speak our language try hard to help us. They
probably have a good laugh afterwards at my pitiful attempts to pronounce my
questions.
El Campello is at the end of a long stretch of beach.
It is about 8 km long. There were a few people sunbathing and a few swimming
but not many. All the restaurants there were almost double the price that we
pay here in Alicante. We did not eat but did stop for a beer and were served
some tapas so that kept us going until we arrived back home.
14 km later we arrived back home with 4 caches. Not a
big harvest today, but the weather was nice and the beach beautiful.
Tomorrow we will stay nearby at least in the morning. The
owner wants to come and replace a lamp hanging in the hallway. Jacques will be
happy because he keeps banging his head on it.

Very beautiful looking place. Nice that you've had good weather. Keep up your success in finding caches...
