The temperature dropped more than 10 degrees between
yesterday and today. Yesterday we had a high of 28 and today a high of 17. It was a good day to head to San Vicente
again to finish el camino del Sabinar, the trail that we had started last week.
From the end of the metro line we took a bus to the hospital and from there
another bus that would take us 3/4 of the way to the end of the trail. This bus
only goes by every 2 hours, so it was important not to miss it. For a while
Jacques and I were the only ones on the bus until another man got on.
We disembarked at our spot and walked to the end of the
series of caches that we wanted to do. When we were at the farthest point, we
had our first rain of our trip. Happily, it only rained for about half an hour
but by then we were a bit wet. We dried pretty quickly when the rain stopped as
we walked away from the mountain back towards town. 19 km and 27,500 steps
later we back in town at the tram stop. We found 30 caches today including our
22,000th cache. We now have only 994 caches to find for our next thousand.
Needless to say, tomorrow is a stay close to the apartment
day.

Congrats on 22,000 caches! It is so much cooler here today, I even wore my light winter jacket on our walk this AM, the wind is really up! Looks like a great trail, we will go find the 1 cache in Ortiaga and send you a pic in our blog today.
