This morning we headed to the market again. Jacques goes
through Serrano ham the way André goes through ice cream. It was time to
replenish the fridge once again. There were 22 people ahead of us at our
regular booth. We must have arrived during peak time. This particular booth is
always busier than the others but today it was busy everywhere. We must
remember to make Friday our day for the market instead of Saturday.
If anyone else besides Nathalie and André and Diane want
pkg. of paella seasoning let us know. They are only 2 euros per pkg of 5
envelopes.
We had plenty of time to watch the booths around us while
waiting for our turn. One of the things I noticed is all the possibilities for cross
contamination. They use the same knife without washing in between for cutting
up chicken breast or rabbit or whatever other meat that is ordered next. Some
have gloves but they don't take off the gloves to handle the money. This in a
country where you have to put on plastic gloves in order to pick your fruits
from the bins.
At least where Jacques get all his Serrano ham they only
have that kind of meat so less chance of contamination I guess.

| Vendor preparing our rabbit for supper. He was actually surprised that we did not want the head. |

Ron loved the serrano ham when we were there as well. I would like a few paella seasoning pkg as well please.
