After we had settled into our condo, we decided to go explore the
area to get our bearings. We were not gone for more than 5 minutes when we
heard, 'Hey, Jacques et Rollande'. It was our friends from Dieppe who used to
live across the street. We knew that they were vacationing in the area but did
not think that our dates would match so we had not made any plans to meet.
Turns out it was their last day before leaving. We ended up spending the
afternoon with them and they were able to give us the lay of the land.
About 12 years before, we had spent 2 weeks in a small town about
5 kms away called Olhos d'Agua so towards the end of our first week, we decided
to go for a visit and try to find where we had stayed. We found that it had
grown so much with a huge number of new hotels etc. that we were never able to
find where we had stayed. It had changed that much. We went back a couple more
time during our stay but same result.
