Today we had the best weather yet. I think that it is the first
day without a sprinkle of rain. Jacques wore his shorts today even if there was
a bit of wind coming in from the north. It meant that on the beach we were
protected from the wind. I think that I got a bit of wind/sun burn.
We took the bus to Oura. We must have missed it by just a few
minutes because we waited almost a half hour. There is no bus schedule to be
had anywhere. The answer is always the bus comes by every half hour. We were
going on another geocaching hike.
It took us again on the trails running along the beaches and
cliffs. This trail was not as hard as some others that we've done but there
were a number of spots where we had to walk on rocks and climb sandy hills. We
again saw some magnificent views and found 5 of the 6 caches that we were
looking for.
Before returning home on the bus we decided to go for lunch. It was almost 2:00 and breakfast was long
gone. We stopped at a donner kebab place. The 3 friends running the place were
Indians. When they found out we were Canadians, they started raving about how
nice our prime minister was and how they had liked that he had tried to
participate in the Indian culture when he went to visit. They said that he was #1. I guess they don't
read the same news as us. Their kabob (donair) was made with chicken and served
with red cabbage, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, carrot slaw and a spicy sauce.
It was very good but totally different from home.
We finished off the day relaxing on the patio watching the
seagulls hang around the old church rooftop. (See Adrienne we do relax.)
There won't be a whole lot to report from now on because gone
almost everywhere that we wanted to so except for one more hike later this
week.
