March 12 - Villamoura

By the time we got our car ready to go it was 11:00.

We started by going to the train station which is outside of town to buy our tickets for Porto for the 4th of April.

Since we only had a half day left, we headed out to Villamoura. It is a lovely town which seems to be much more opulent than Albuferia. There are lots of golf courses there as well as a marina filled with nice looking yachts. Everything there is manicured, and the houses are bigger and better looking than in Albuferia. We roamed around all afternoon picking up 4 caches during the day (the most in a day so far).

Stopping for lunch at the marina

Chicken piri-piri for Rollande, fish and chips for Jacques
A seagull keeping an eye on our table.
Guess what, there is geocache in that tree.

On the way back, we stopped at a road stand to buy some oranges. We have been making fresh juice in the morning. 2 oranges fill a glass.

English translation is not always the best in Portugal

Since we had the car, we decided to do a bigger grocery. We also wanted to buy some rabbit since the last time we had any was in Spain. You would all have laughed when I asked for help in finding cream to cook with. A one point there were 3 women looking a various creams on the shelf to help us out. It's true, the Portuguese are a friendly people.
