Not much going on today. We did our regular outing to the market where we bought half a rabbit for supper. On the way there we stopped to buy another sandwich for lunch. This time we asked him to wrap it for take away. He even offered to cut it in half for us. We bought the San Marco sandwich with truffle cream and pistachio spread, mortadella, and sun-dried tomatoes. This one was not as good. The spread was too sweet.
When we looked at the recipe for rabbit, we realized that we needed white wine to cook it, so off we went to our wine store where they refill the bottles. We had a bit of trouble trying to explain that we wanted a wine to cook with. Finally, one of the customers eating there translated for us and they filled the bottle we had brought with white wine. She told us how she cooked her rabbit, so Jacques is going to try that tonight. She cooks her rabbit in the wine and adds capers and green olives. Our recipe called for Dijon mustard and cream. Rollande was not sure how the rabbit would turn out but said that it was better then what she expected.
The rest of the day was spent going to the bus station to ask about bus tickets for next weeks visit to Siena. We bought our ticket since there is no day or time on them. There is a bus every hour on the 10, so 9:10, 10:10 etc. to Siena. We will go on the 1st day next week that they announce a nice day for Siena. The weather looks kind of iffi for the beginning of the week. The rest of the afternoon was spent caching.
Garbage pickup. What you see below ground is a lot bigger than what you see above ground.
