March 14 - Market Day

It felt good to have a leisurely morning after having to rush to the train station the last couple of days. After breakfast we went to the Victor Hugo market to get supplies for the weekend. Cheeses, serrano ham, sausages, baguettes, lettuce, strawberries and fresh stuffed raviolis. On Sunday most of the restaurants seem to have a more expensive menu so we always make sure to cook our meals on the weekend because the restaurants are also always full.

Did a load of laundry even though it was raining when we got up but the sun came out around noon. Most of the clothes were dry by the time we came back to the apartment.

We went to do some puzzle caches on the other side of the Garonne. We hadn’t noticed how cold the wind was from our balcony that is sheltered. It was a cold northerly wind. I don’t know if this is what they call "le mistral" but it was definitely not a warm wind. We redid a lot of the places that we had already gone to, but it is always nice to walk along the river no matter what side of the river you are on. It had obviously rained hard during the night because there was a lot of puddles and debris on the sidewalk and the paths. It was a nice walk that ended giving us almost 15 km, more than we had planned on for a recuperation day.

Lots of water in the river following all the rain this year.

Another beautiful wall painting.

It was too cold tonight to sit on the patio for our usual before supper drink. We talked to Sylvie and Bianca after supper with a few short intervals with Danica.
