Today we took the bus to a park (Parque del Alamillo) to geocache. It was farther than we have gone yet. We got off the bus a stop too early so had to walk a while before we got to where we wanted to go. We followed the river until we reached the park. It was a huge park with lots of paved and unpaved trails. There were playgrounds, benches, and a few things to look at, it even had a bathroom which was nice. The park ended at the football stadium. We had to walk a long way to go around the stadium because there was a fence around it. We eventually found an open gate and preceded to our cache. All to no avail because we couldn’t find it. According to the logs it was hidden by someone who is known to camouflage them well. So, we returned to where we had started to catch our bus back to the apartment with 6 of 7 caches found, a good day.
Beautiful trails everywhere. Jacques headed to the next geocache.
Football stadium.
Since it was 3:30 and lunch time for the locals and we hadn’t eaten since morning we decided to go to our favorite restaurant close by. We waited in line for about half an hour before a table became available, This restaurant has made 'le Routard' list every year since 2010. We both ordered the calamar a la plancha and the waiter said no, you will have one to share and then you can try something else. Ok so we asked for a recommendation. He suggested bacalao (cod) with gambas. It looked really appetizing and it was. It was placed on potatoes and had some sort of white sauce underneath a topping that we couldn’t figure out, as well as a red sauce on the plate. Whatever it was that we had was delicious.
We stopped at a store so that Jacques could buy a new mouse for his computer. His has not been working well lately so he has been borrowing mine off and on. Tonight, Alvero came to bring us some wine glasses which we had asked for. Drinking wine out of a water glass is not the same as from a wine glass. Apparently, there was supposed to be 4 glasses, but they are nowhere to be found. We had also asked for a cooking sheet for the oven. He brought a pizza pan with holes but with parchment paper we can make it work. Apart from that the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes.

sounds like the waiter made a good choice not to let you have 2 of the same
