After collecting our luggage, we took a taxi to our apartment where Alvero our co host was waiting for us . He gave us the keys and showed us around. The apartment is ok not as big as we thought but 2 nice bathrooms with good flow in the shower. There are many nooks and crannies. It is a small maze to get from one room to the next. A rarity for Airbnb there are many towels as well as plenty of dish cloths etc.
After settling in we went to the grocery store to get the essentials for breakfast for tomorrow. The cashier does not speak English or French and my Spanish is so good that she didn’t understand my question about a store customer card like we usually get when we are in Europe. We will try again when we are more rested. We strolled around the neighborhood a bit thinking of getting tapas for supper but all the bars close at 6 and only open again after 8 and by then we were way too tired after our sleepless night to go out so supper consisted of bread, cheese, iberico ham, and a pepper paté and of course a glass of wine .All very good since we hadn’t eaten anything except our nice airline breakfast of a slice of bread and yogurt compliments of air Canada. No coffee because of turbulence.
We were in bed at 9 and woke up well rested around 8:30 this morning.
