We started our first full day in Sévilla a bit later than normal having slept well past our usual wake up time. The first thing on our list was to find sim cards for our phones. Jacques had looked it up on the internet but when we got there, they had none. We tried a couple more places including Cortes Ingles where she recommended that we go to what Wendy calls a Chinese dollar store. It happened to be the same one we had stopped at on the way. Since we had forgotten our passports which are needed to buy sim cards we had to go back to the apartment. Copies are not accepted. It was past 2 before this was all solved.
We went to a local bar for tapas for lunch, we will be going again. We are definitely in a non touristy area since most places do not speak English or French including stores like Cortes Ingles which are English owned. I will be getting plenty of practice with my Spanish. There were plenty of gourmet foods to look at and maybe bring back on the upper level of the store which has 6 levels in all. We spent most of the day just wandering around the neighborhood before stopping at an Aldi store for a bottle of wine and breakfast items for tomorrow. We headed to the bus depot to pick up Joline at the end of the day. She will be staying with us for a few days after spending 2 weeks in Portugal.
After returning to the apartment to deposit her belongings we headed to a local plaza where we sat talking while waiting for the tapas bar to open at 8. We went to the same place we had gone at noon, so we tried different tapas. For lunch we had tried 4 different tapas which we shared and tonight we tried 5 more different ones and 2 that we had at lunch. Out of the 9 different tapas there is only one that we would not eat again. The pork cheeks in whiskey sauce was one of our favorite as well as the spinach and garbanzo bean dip. The spinach one being a repeat from this afternoon.

No tapas here but they call it tapas on the menus, more like appetizers (Mozza sticks) and not cheap 6 euros at the bar we were the first night
