We again started our day by walking to the Capucin market. This time for a small container of parmesan cheese to go with our supper tonight. We love shopping at the market because you can buy the exact size that you want. I also wanted some mâche salad, and you can pick the amount you want for your meal, so no leftovers. Plus, it’s 5000 steps to the market and back so it starts my step count with a bang.
After the market we hurried to Place de la Bourse for our geocaching event. We wanted to be there half an hour before. The first person arrived 25 minutes early, so we had a good talk, and he gave us a few tips before the others arrived. There were seven people who showed up plus us two so not a bad turnout. One cacher arrived with box full of cannelés. He passed the box around several times. We made a random draw for 2 of the coins that we had brought with us to give away and gave a third one to the guy who had brought the canelés. The event was only supposed to be half an hour, but everyone stayed for an hour before going.
We came back to the apartment for a short break before heading out to the Place de la Victoire where the beginning of the parade to celebrate the Chinese New Year was. We watched some of the dancing before the parade started. It was not a big parade, maybe 5 minutes long at the most.
Afterward we strolled around that neighborhood for a while since we had not gone in that area yet and walked as far as the last door of Bordeaux in a series that we hadn’t gone to.

we loved the cannelés
