We started the day by walking to the market to get fresh pasta and shrimps for our supper. Along the way there was a small market with many fruit and vegetable stalls. We stopped to buy those long flat green beans that we love and one of the workers made us try some clementines. I’ve never eaten one that was so sweet and juicy. So, another bag of clementines was bought. We will be getting are vitamin C.
After making sandwiches for our lunch we headed to the tram stop that would take us almost to the end of the tram system. It is on the outskirts of Bordeaux at a place called Bruges. We had gone last week but we never finished our caching run because of the rain. We ended up walking 18 km and found 16 caches. It’s not a good average as we had as many DNF as we had finds. Today there was no rain, and it was warm enough to walk with just a sweater. It is starting to look like spring here as we saw many trees in bloom. I imagine that tomorrow we will be feeling the effects of our hike.
Tomorrow is an easy day. We are hosting a geocaching event at 11 and in the afternoon is the parade to celebrate the Chinese new year.
