After a long sleep of more than 11 hours we set out to
explore Malaga. The weather was a comfortable 18 degrees. Since we are not
quite in shape yet we explored the city center passing through a beautiful park
with lots of birds of paradise and hibiscus flowers, ponds with Spanish tiles
and benches to sit and relax. We saw the Malaga cathedral which is missing the
top part of the second tower having never been finished. We also saw where
Picasso lived. We spent quite a bit of time browsing in the central market
before heading back to the apartment for a break.
After a couple hours break, we headed out again to end
near the Marina but it was much cooler near the water, so we didn't linger. We
wandered a bit in the old Roman theatre until they told us it was closing.
All in all, it wasn't a bad day considering that we
are still tired and I'm still recuperating from my cold.
Tomorrow we take the bus to the resort. We cannot
check in before 4 so we will ask if we can leave our luggage somewhere while we
explore our new neighbourhood.

I heard there was a cache in the castle on top of the hill. Sounds like you did not walk up
ReplyDeleteCan wait for the rest of the vacation stories
No we did not walk up. We ran out of energy after 25,000 steps and not having slept for 3 days.
