October 23 - Shanghai - Day 11

We asked for a 5 a.m. Wake up call since we were leaving at 6. We were told that we could go for breakfast at 5:30. Breakfast consisted of bread and coffee. We were at the airport after 1 hour of driving with plenty of time for check-in and security before our 8:55 flight into Shanghai. After we landed, we drove for a little more than an hour before we stopped for lunch. We were seated at tables outdoors and the food was quite good, but the dishes were not clean.

Not the color that we are used to seeing for a wedding dress

Very detailed wooden cabinets

A fast car is not very practical in bumper to bumper traffic

Jing'an Buddist Temple
The afternoon consisted of a visit at the Shanghai museum. It probably would have been a lot more interesting if everyone hadn't been so tired. We then drove another 2 1/2 hours to a restaurant for supper. This was by far the best meal of the trip so far. The hotel was about 1/2 hour from there.  There are lots of new and wonderful buildings in Suzhou and it's almost Vegas style with all the lights. We saw many amazing buildings with all sorts of architecture. The hotel was the best so far also.
