October 19 - Cruise - Day 7

We had a wake-up call at 7. I found it a bit hard to get up after another sleepless night. The bed is hard, and it was hot in the room. There is no air conditioning, so we had the fan going on all night.

We met Michael our guide at 9 to visit his hometown of Jinzhou. We started at the museum where we got to see a human mummy and then we climbed the wall that surrounds the city. It was a bit of a let down after climbing the Great Wall.

Hope Canada Post sorts our mail better than this - especially the box flying through the air
We were back on the ship in time for lunch and the ship left port soon after. Tonight, we went to the captain's welcome party where we were served a very sweet white wine. There was a bit of dancing before supper. It was about half and half, the men with ties and those with golf shirts. The same with the women but I think that those in black pants outnumbered the ones in dresses.

We decided to skip the show and stay in our room and have a drink instead and relax.
