February 2 - Day 2

After a late morning in bed we headed off to find "Le Mercado centrale". It is between 15 and 20 minutes from here. It is awesome with all sorts of fruits, vegetables and meats. duck (with the head and feet still attached) about 2$ a lb. the same price for rabbit. That’s about 10 times cheaper than home. We bought, jambon (pancetta type), olives, cheese, pâté and decided to wait to buy bread at the bakery next door, but oh oh it was already closed for the day at 3:00. I guess we will have to go to the supermarket, which happens to be about 100 meters from our door. Anyway, that with a bottle of wine will be our supper tonight. The restaurants don’t open before 9:00, too late for me.

A half hour in the apartment to rest our feet and then of we went looking for a couple of caches. Didn’t find the first one but found 3 others, all of them about 25 to 30 meters off. It’s not going to be easy caching in Valencia. We came back around 6 and parked ourselves in the living room. I guess we haven’t really adapted to the time yet because all of a sudden, we realised that it was getting close to midnight and we hadn’t even thought of bed yet.

It is very noisy outside, you can hear the traffic. I don’t know what the people upstairs do every morning and night but it sounds like they move the furniture around for 10 minutes or so.
