Well today was the last day of the cruise. We disembark tomorrow
and head to Prague. One of the Canadian couples has asked us if they could
share our transfer from Passau to Prague. They don't want to go with the one
that Viking is supplying them. We have confirmed with our company and it has
been okayed. We don't mind since it will cut our expense by almost half.
Today the tour was a walking tour of Passau. We had a young law
student as our guide. He was the best that we have had so far full of funny
stories to explain the history. He will be a great lawyer one day. Tuition in
Germany is 120 euros per year and it comes with a free bus pass which is worth
10 euros per month therefore free. But they pay 42 % taxes federal and another
8% to the Catholic church which is the biggest landowner in the city.

We also attended an organ concert in the St. Stephen's cathedral.
It has almost 20,000 pipes. (19,974). It is the one with the most pipes in
Europe but not the world. New York has an organ that is bigger. Some parts of
the organ dates back to 1715. That is before the Acadian deportation.

We had lunch in a local pub instead of coming back to the ship.
We came back mid afternoon to pack and then on deck to enjoy the
sun and relax before supper. (It is now 5 and still 20 degrees outside).
Jacques woke up with a slight cold and I have a tickle in my
throat. Hopefully it won't stop us from enjoying Prague in the next 5 days.
