March 1, 2017 - Phoenix

We have arrived at our destination. About a foot of snow fell during the night so when we reached the turn-off for a road that we had planned, we stopped at a tourist information center to check on the road conditions. We were happy to hear that traffic was moving in both directions without any problems so off we went.

Scenery changing as we approach Arizona

In Arizona, we stopped for a visit to the Petrified Forest National Park which was quite interesting but, we did not stay very long since we were eager to get to our condo.

We turned off I-40 at Holbrook and started our descent towards Phoenix. At first, there over a foot of snow on the side of the roads but the roads themselves were dry so no problem for the final portion of our trip.

Almost there
Our condo is comfortable, and all is in good shape but, not overly big. The kitchen in particular, is so small that we can touch all the appliances from one spot. We were tired, so we decided to make spaghetti for supper but all we could find were small 2 small pots and one frying pan. We ended up cooking half the spaghetti in one pot and the other half in the frying pan and the sauce in the other pot. The property owner had told us that there was a large pot in the condo, but we could not find. We found the large pot plus the rest of the pots and pans the next day. They were stored "in the oven".
