We are still here and having a great time but not much
to report. The temperatures are in the 30s. Not much caching because of the
heat but a lot of shopping and lounging in the pool. Even though it is hot when
you are in the shade it is considerably much cooler because there is no
humidity. We are enjoying being outside with no mosquitoes, especially in the
morning for our coffee and in the evenings.
Last night there was a geocaching event so that we
could meet other geocachers from the area. There were about 25 people there. It
was fun and afterwards we invited the couple that hosted the event and the guy
with the original can of beans from the first ever geocache to come to the
condo for a drink. The woman sat outside on the patio while the men stayed
inside the condo to talk geocaching. The guy with the can of beans is invited
to the mega in Truro this summer. Just goes to show what a can of beans will
do. He’s had all expense trips paid to many different countries.
Tomorrow is going to be another pool day and Tuesday,
I have been invited to go shopping while Jacques goes geocaching with Steve.
I’m a bit anxious about the shopping, I have a tendency to shop sales and
bargains and she’s taking me to the Scottsdale area to shop. Not my price range
but it should be fun anyway. We are meeting them in their home for coffee
before we go our separate ways. so far, I have found 4 different tops. Not bad
for someone who wasn’t going to do any shopping.
There are many bushes with red Bougainvillea flowers everywhere in
the city.
It’s now 9:30 and we have just come in from a dip in
the pool. There was no one in the pool but us.
Arizona does not change the clock except for one
reservation so we are now 4 hours different from home.
