This morning, we resumed our trip west, travelling to
Amarillo, Texas with a stop in Oklahoma City along the way.
In Oklahoma City, we visited the memorial of the 1995
Oklahoma City bombing where 168 people were killed. After visiting different
parts of the city, we continued our way to Amarillo.
After we left Oklahoma City, we found that there was
not much to see on our route to Amarillo. Compared to the hills that we had
driven through since Kentucky, the terrain became very flat.
As we approached Amarillo, we knew that we had reached
cattle country. There was a distinct perfume in the air.

Of course, a stop-over in Texas would not be complete
without some ribs for supper.
