El Palmeral - April 1

I guess even after 6 weeks here there are still things that we haven't seen. When we went to Elche a few weeks ago we thought that El Palmeral and Elche were in the same town. It turns out that El Palmeral is here in Alicante in the San Gabriel barrio, so this is where we headed to today. It is a nice park with well groomed trails and lots of nice places to sit surrounded by different kinds of palms. It was very peaceful there with ponds and a few artificial waterfalls. In Elche the whole town had palms everywhere, here all the different palms were inside a park. It's another place that we would not have discovered if it wasn't for geocaching 😊.

We wandered in San Gabriel until about 4. Since we had skipped lunch, supper was early and quick. Leftovers from the weekend.

Since I didn't have a whole lot of steps, we decided to go for a walk down to the waterfront.  When we passed the tapas bar there was a short lineup. We strolled around looking at menus because Wednesday we will need to eat out for supper. We won't have anything left in the fridge after breakfast. Even the coffee can will be empty.

We went to the Santa Maria church where the circle was to see if the stage was gone and it was. I played around with my phone trying to improve on my picture. I think that it is a bit better so practice makes perfect.

Cats everywhere.

Look what I found.

Waterfall.

Behind the waterfall.

Trying the circle picture again.
