March 16 - Barcelona - Day 2

With a new coffee maker and an electrician who came to put in a new electrical plug, things are looking better. We also found out that the living room coffee table opens up to make a real table. It’s going to be a lot better than first appearances.

Today, was a wow day. We visited The Sagrada Familia cathedral. It is amazing. You could stay there all day and not see everything there is to see. I don’t know how anybody could be expected to pray with all there is to see. It was designed by Gaudi, but he died when it was barely started, and it’s still not finished. We also visited the cathedral Santa Maria del Mar, walked the Ramblas and spent a short time in the Boqueteria market. We were looking for a specific restaurant called El Quim which Jacques wants to try. We finished our sightseeing around 6:30 and headed for the metro. By the time we came out, close to home it was raining.

Tonight, we will be drinking the bottle of cava that we were given as a gift when we arrived in the apartment.
