Today is our return home. We got up at 3:15 am (10:15 the night before back home) to catch our flight at 6:45. We had one hour and a half between each segment of our trip so not much room for delays.
Our flight from Florence to Frankfurt was on time so, so far so good. The second leg from Frankfurt to Montréal was 15 minutes late leaving so Rollande starting worrying that we were going to miss our connection in Montréal given that we had to go through customs and then go to the other end of the airport to reach our gate.
Luckly, the line at customs was fairly short and the new automated check-in system was very efficient so we went through quickly and made it to our gate in plenty of time. Turns out that the final leg from Montréal to Moncton was 20 minutes late so it all worked well. Even our luggage made all the way to Moncton as well.
It was a great trip, but we are always happy to return home.
