We have arrived in Florence but are missing one suitcase. We will finally get it in 3 days. We are staying on the third floor of an 800 year old former monastery with no elevator so a lot of steps. It took us some time to find our apartment. We were on the right street but were given the wrong address number. Luckily, the owner spotted us going up and down the street. We also discovered that street numbers on the building are either red or black. Commercial addresses are in red and residential addresses are in black.
One of the first things we did after dropping off our luggage was to start exploring the area near our apartment and finding something to eat. Being in Italy, we figured why not pizza so we stopped at one of the first pizza shops we found. Unfortunately, we did not choose well since it was a frozen pizza similar to what we get in the frozen food section back home. We quickly learned that we needed to look for a sign that said "pizza al forno a legna" which means pizza cooked in a wood oven stove.
